Adopt a pet

There are few joys greater than responsible pet ownership, and we make it easy to adopt a great pet! Have a look at some of our lovable friends waiting for a good home>>

Dory

Dory

My name is Dory and I came to the shelter as a stray in February 2008. I am a 2 year old spayed female. I am such a nice girl! I love it when you pet me, and I will rub against you to show my affection. Don't be suprised if I follow you around the room. I just want to make sure that you don't forget about me! All you have to do is look into my big green eyes and I will melt your heart!

*Our crematory is in need of a complete overhaul which will cost us about $6900.  If you can help us by providing funding to fix it, please consider a tax deductible donation to our shelter.  This is a service we provide to the area and we are proud to do it.  Many pet owners come to us at their time of loss.

*Watch for our “pennies for paws” cans display in local stores.  The change you drop in our cans help to feed and provide care for the strays in our community.

*Please donate your used cell phones to help raise much needed funds for the Hornell Area Humane Society.  The Humane Society will receive money from the Phone raiser for each item collected.  Phone raiser is a company that specializes in recycling and refurbishing used technology.  Your donation will help the environment.  Your unwanted cell phones will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and reused.  If improperly disposed of, the cell phone can pollute up to 132,000 liters of drinking water.   Your donation may be tax deductible…  Please drop off cell phones at the Hornell Area Humane Society on Industrial Park Road
