What's Going On
Have A Heart For Homeless Animals
Frosty Fund Campaign
Do YOU have a Heart for Homeless Animals? Our February campaign goal is to raise $5000 for our Frosty Fund. We have to stock up on medicine and be prepared for vet visits for the spring Kitten Season. It is easy to help us. $50 to have a Heart for Homeless Animals gets your name on our Have a Heart wall and helps with the vet medical care of the homeless animals in our shelter. Because of you we c...ould take Luke to Canisteo Vet and on to Cornell University for a neurological exam. And today Luke is doing fantastic in his forever home with Dave and Angel Remchuck. Because of YOU Frosty continues to thrive in his forever home with Melissa and Joe McKay. Frosty was under the care of Bath Vet Hospital and then Cornell University for his wounds. You can make a donation by going to www.hornellanimalshelter.org and donating by PayPal or by sending a check to Hornell Area Humane Society, Industrial Park Road, Hornell, N.Y. 14843 or by coming into our shelter. We have a credit/debit card machine now. These funds are restricted to vet medical care only. We only need 100 people to give $50 to our campaign to reach our goal. Can other animals like Luke, Frosty & Maverick who come into our shelter every day count on you?
Raffle
We are raffling off a Kindle Fire, 2 $50 gas cards, and a spring homemade afghan. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $10. Drawings will be held June 1st and we will pick 4 winners. (need not be present to win)
Volunteer Orientation
May 8th (Tuesday) at 5:30 here at the shelter. We ask that all new volunteers go through a volunteer orientation. This will allow you to become more familiar with our shelter and the rules as well as all the different things you can do to volunteer. This also includes a tour of the building and meeting all the wonderful animals. The orientation normally last for about 30 minutes.
We also have the orientation on powerpoint, so if you are interested in volunteering but can't make the orientation, just give us a call and we'll set up a time for you to come watch the powerpoint!
