My name is Angelo and I came to the shelter as a stray in February 2010. I am a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Shepherd / Husky mix. The shelter people have nick-named me "grey face" because they love the color of my face. They had never seen a dog that looks quite like me. My favorite thing about being here at the shelter is all the treats we get! I love them! I also love to be brushed! Eventually, I'll just sit on your lap to make it nice and easy for you to reach me! I can come across as being very unsure of new people when I'm in my kennel, but give me a treat, and everything is ok. I also love to go for walks and I am very smart, but I could use some obedience training.

All it takes is a belly rub and I'll be your best friend! You just need to work slow with me, that's all. Once I'm out of my cage, I enjoy being around people and I really love to play fetch! I'll even bring the toy back to you and "drop it" when asked. I am very smart. I also know how to sit, shake and stay. I am also housebroken. I can't wait 'til I find my forever home! I have a lot of love to give.

My name is Moses and I was brought to the shelter in January 2010. I am a 1 year old neutered male Chow mix. By looking at me now, you know this, but when I first came in, I was very scared. If anyone would come near my cage, I would growl and show my teeth. But later during that day, one of the shelter people just sat in front of my cage with some canned food. That changed my attitude quite fast! Eventually, I started coming around. I just needed to feel safe and be able to trust. Now, when someone comes near my cage, or even if I just see someone walking down the kennels, I get so excited! I’ll be at the front of the cage, smiling, with my whole body wagging. I love to be around people now. I especially love to cuddle…if you come in my cage with me, I just want to be near you. I also love to be bathed and brushed. Now I can’t wait to find that special family to give all my love.

My name is Snoop and I flew to the shelter on an airplane on September 12, 2009 all the way from Maryland. I am an 8 year old neutered male Sharpei mix. I originally came from a hoarding situation and was transferred to animal control. But if I didn't come to the Hornell shelter, I would have been euthanized. So I am now here at the shelter and ready for adoption! Well, I'm the type of dog that just wants to be around people. The only thing that is going to make it hard for me to find a family is that I have hip dysplasia. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying life one bit! I don't let it slow me down. However, because of my hip dysplasia, I would prefer a home with no young children. So if there is anyone out there who is looking to adopt an older dog, please come and meet me. I promise I won't disappoint you!

My name is Suzy Q and I came to the shelter in January 2010. I am a 7 year old spayed female Shepherd mix. Currently, I reside in the front office here at the shelter. I am always the first to greet you when you come in. I have a very easy-going and laid-back personality and love everyone I meet. I also get along just fine with other animals and I am house-broken. I am a very smart girl...I know all the basic commands like sit, stay, lay down and shake - those are a piece of cake. But what is really impressive is my other tricks. I know how to roll over, and if you look at my picture you can see my other trick. If you tell me to sit, then put a treat on my nose and I will sit very still until you tell me "ok!" and then I toss it up and catch it. I love that one! The shelter people love to show visitors that. And I love when they do...more treats for me!!

My name is ToTo and I came to the shelter as a stray in February 2010. I am a 2 year old male Terrier mix. I am such a happy little fella! I love to be around people and I get really excited when new people walk through the kennels. I love to see new faces!
