My name is Alice and this is my friend, Trixie. We came to the shelter as strays in December 2009. We are both females and around 2 years old. We are not sisters, just really good friends. This is a very new environment for us so we are very scared. At this point, we just need a lot of socialization, which we are getting here at the shelter. We are slowly coming out of our shell, but it may take a little while. We tend to hide in the back of our cage. But the shelter workers and volunteers are working with us. They pet us and hold us in their lap and are just very gentle with us. We need to be adopted into a quiet home. That would really help us feel safe. We just need a little love and patience.

When I first came in, I was very timid. I didn't want anyone anywhere near me. I would hiss and swat if someone got too close. But after quite a bit of socialization, I came around pretty fast! Now I love to be held and I love to cuddle. I am at my happiest when I'm in someone's arms. Please just give me a chance and I will be sure to please.

My name is Dazzle and I came to the shelter as a stray in May 2009. I came in pregnant, and I delivered my babies the very next day. They were all so cute! Well, they were all adopted pretty fast, but I'm still here. I've been here for almost 1 year now. I'm not sure why no one wants me. I'm very easy-going and laid-back and I like everyone I meet. I could definitely see myself being a window kitty, just soaking up the sun. Here at the shelter, I love to curl up on my nice comfy blanket and just relax. I also love to be brushed...and that's a good thing since I have long fur. I am a 3 year old female looking for a family to love.

I am now the only one left from my litter, and am patiently waiting to be adopted. I have a very sweet personality and I love to be around other cats. My cage buddies right now are Indie and Jamie.

I am very laid-back and love to be around people.

My name is Jamie and I came to the shelter as a stray with my mom and 5 other siblings in March 2009. I am a 1 year old female. I am the only one left here at the shelter. All the rest of my family has been adopted. I was only about 4 weeks old when I first came in, and now I'm 1 year. I've been here too long! I'm not sure why I haven't been adopted yet-I'm such a nice girl! I'm playful and I love the company of other cats. I don't mind being here, but nothing compares to having a nice big house to run around in whenever my heart desires!

My name is Landon and I came to the shelter in May 2009. I am a 1 year old neutered male. As you can see, I only have one eye. When I came here to the shelter, my left eye was always kind of runny and just never quite right, so I had to make a little trip to the vet to get it checked out. I'm so glad I went there too...my eye ended up rupturing while I was there, so they were able to act quickly and remove my whole eye. But this all happened a while back, so I am completely healed from it. Please don't let this stop you from considering adopting me. It didn't change my personality one bit! I'm still the sweet, loving, playful cat I was before it all happened! I am just a unique cat looking for a home like all the others.

My name is Raisin and my siblings and I arrived at the shelter in April 2009. We came here because someone abandoned us at the shelter's doorstep when we were just little babies. They just left us in a box. Can you believe that? I am now 1 year old and I am the last one from my litter. Everyone else has been adopted. I was definitely the shyest of the group, but I am very playful. I love to chase things around the room. One minute, I'll be hiding under the cages, then next thing you know, I run out to chase whatever toy is out. In my second picture, you can see just how playful I am. My name is Spinner and I came to the shelter as a stray in May 2009. I am a 2 year old spayed female. I am very friendly. My only 'issue' is that I have some kind of birth defect in my brain - which is actually how I got my name. I am a fairly normal cat, but my head is always tilted to one side and I will spin around in circles. But I don't let it stop me from every day activities. I still run around and play just like the other cats. I am as sweet as can be and once you spend a little time with me I will melt your heart.

I was an outdoor stray cat for such a long time. When I was brought to the shelter, I finally felt safe… a warm, comfy place to sleep with as much food and water as I pleased. I am a very nice cat just looking to be adopted into a home, so I can feel what it's like to be loved by a family.
