Some of us would hiss anytime someone got too close to us. But after being here for a little while and being socialized, we have all come around. But we are now 2 months old and ready for adoption! We are such lovable kittens! We are very playful and full of energy. And we have a really cool cage up here at the shelter that is tall and has 3 different levels that we can climb up on. The shelter people think it's funny how we'll all cram onto one of those levels and sleep in a big pile. What can we say? We love to cuddle!

My name is Coal and I came to the shelter as a stray in August 2008. I am a 1 year old neutered male. I am a very entertaining cat! I could play from morning to night! There's no doubt that I would make you laugh. I also get along great with other cats. My cage buddy here at the shelter is Lopez. We have so much fun together!

My name is Ethan and I came to the shelter as a stray in April 2009. I am a 1 year old neutered male. The reason I'm here is because my leg was badly hurt. I couldn't put any pressure on it. But now, thanks to the vet, I'm feeling much better. I'm not 100 percent just yet, but I'm well on my way.

Our names are Felicia & Flossy and we came to the shelter as strays in August 2008. We are 6 month old females. We love to play and we enjoy eachothers company. We are a little on the shy side, but with a little love and patience we would warm up to you in no time!

My name is Francis and I came to the shelter in May 2009. I am a 2 month old male. I came in with my mom and 4 other siblings, but I am now the only one left to be adopted. I am a very fun little guy and can't wait to join a fun, loving family!

My name is Ginger and this is my sister, Glamour. We came to the shelter as strays in October 2008. We are both 1 year old spayed females. When we first came to the shelter, we were terrified! We just didn't know what was going on. But since we've been here, we are slowly starting to come out of our shell. And for me, personally, I have come a long way. I used to cower in the back of my cage. But now, I enjoy running around the room, with all my new friends! I have even learned that I enjoy playing with toys! My sister and I both love to be petted and scratched behind our ears. Glamour is still a little on the shy side, but she is starting to get brave! She'll come out of her cage and wonder around the room, and just check things out. My sister and I have now been at the shelter for 4 months now and are patiently waiting for a new home.

But now that I've had time to adjust, I have learned that I love to be around people and I love to be held. Before coming to the shelter, I felt so abandoned and alone. Now I get lots of attention. One day, one of the shelter people was driving to work and spotted me abandoned in a field right next to the highway. It was such a cold day so I felt so relieved to be able to go to the nice warm shelter. With all that I've been through, I am a very sweet cat. Here at the shelter, I just crave love and attention because I had been without it for so long when I was on my own. I am so excited for the day when I meet my new family. I can't wait!

My name is Lulu and I came to the shelter as a stray in June 2009. I am a 2 1/2 month old female. I am a very sweet, affectionate little thing and I just loooove to be held! But I wasn't like that when I first came to the shelter. You wouldn't believe my transformation! The first few days that I was here, I was terrified. the shelter people put a towel over my cage in hopes that it would calm me down. But I was so scared. Even when someone would just walk into the room and not pay any attention to me, I would start hissing and spitting in my cage and my back would be arched and my tail would be all poofed out. That's how scared I was! However, all it took to break me of that was when one of the shelter workers wrapped me up in a towel and just held me for an hour. It was that simple! Now I'm as sweet as can be! And now when someone opens my cage, I'm the first one to come up and greet you with a purr.

My name is Ma and I came to the shelter as a stray in September 2008. I am a 3 year old spayed female. I am a very timid cat. I need a home maybe with an older couple with a quiet home.

Our names are Moody & Moon and we came to the shelter as strays in January 2009. We are 7 month old spayed females. The reason why we're here at the shelter is because someone abandoned us in the woods that were covered in snow. We were so cold! The shelter people had a hard time catching us. We were so scared we were climbing up the trees! We were not very friendly when we first arrived at the shelter. We just didn't understand what was going on. But now that we've been at the shelter for a little while, we realize that people are nothing to be afraid of. We love it when people pay attention to us now! Especially when they pet us. We'll just roll over on our back and start purring! We still have a little ways to go as far as socialization, but we're coming along quite nicely!

My name Nadia and this is my brother, Nelson. We came to the shelter in April 2009. We were found abandoned in one of the Alstom buildings with no mom, so we ended up at the shelter. We were only about 3 weeks old at the time. Because we were so little, one of the shelter people had to take us home to bettle-feed us. We had the best time! We also learned a lot. We learned that dogs are actually very nice. Our foster mom had a big dog that was very gentle with us. She would lick our faces when they got dirty and she would play with us. What good memories! But it didn't all start out like that - because I was so small, I almost didn't make. But my foster mom didn't give up on me. She gave me extra love and care. In about a week, I was starting to gain back my strength. And I am pleased to say that my foster mom's love was passed down to me. I am very affectionate now. All I want to do is be around people. My mom says I'm a kitten that thinks I'm a parrot, because I like to sit on her shoulders. I'll just sit up there watch people go by or I'll fall asleep there. As far as Nelson goes, he was a feisty kitten from day one. He was never scrawny like me. He was the first one to eat on his own, and boy, did he take advantage of that! I guess he just decided that he didn't want the bottle anymore. He is twice my size! Well, we are now about 3 months old and ready for adoption. All we want are loving homes where we can belong.

My name is Polly and I was surrendered to the shelter in March 2009. I am a 5 1/2 month old female. I have so much spunk! You should see me once I start playing. I'll chase after my toys like you've never seen!

Our names are Racer (M), Raisin (F) and Razz (M). We arrived in April 2009 because someone abandoned us at the shelter's doorstep. They just left us in a box. Can you believe that? Well, we are now about 3 months old and ready for adoption. We are all very playful-we love to chase things around. We're so funny! The most laid-back one is Raisin. She got to go to the nursing home with one of the shelter people (they go with an animal once a week to show the residence). Raisin enjoyed herself very much! Any of us would make an excellent addition to your family!

My name is Savannah and I was surrendered to the shelter in June 2009. I am a 6 year old declawed, spayed female. My owner is in the Navy and he was getting stationed in another country. He had nowhere to take me. So he did what he felt was best, which was surrender me to the animal shelter. I really miss him, and don't like it here. I'm a house cat, not a shelter cat. I'm used to being free to roam around in our house. I hate being cooped up in a cage. Can you find it in your heart to adopt me? I would really like a quiet home. I am a very nice cat - I just feel so out of place here. I miss not having someone around to love me all the time.

My name is Screech and I came to the shelter as a stray in May 2009. I was just under 2 month old when I arrived at the shelter. A nice lady found me all by myself in the cold and knew right where to bring me! I was sent out into foster care because I was so little. When I was ready to come back, Nadia and Nelson became my new best friends. I was so glad to be in with other kittens because I was so lonely! And they were going back and forth from the shelter to their foster home at the time, so I got to go with them! I got to meet a big dog there. I love it! The dog was so nice and would play with us. Who would have thought a tiny kitten like me would love a dog that big! We all grew very attached. But I am now a little over 2 months old and back at the shelter and ready for adoption.

I are becoming more and more outgoing everyday I'm here. And I'm even starting to play a little! I just need a little patience and I'll come around in no time!

And we're not very fond of being picked up, but we love to be petted and scratched behind our ears.

My name is Turner and I came to the shelter as a stray in April 2009. However, I was only a few days old at the time, so I was sent to a foster home to be bottle-fed. It wasn't untill June when I came back to the shelter to be put up for adoption. I am now 2 months old and am the sweetest little thing! My brother was just adopted and I miss him terrible! But he got an awesome home, so I am very happy for him. We really enjoyed being at our foster home and were very well socialized. I am so affectionate! I love to be around people and I love to play. The shelter people love how bat my toys around so gently!

My name is Usher and I came to the shelter as a stray in May 2009. I am a 3 month old male. Don't I have just the cutest face?! The shelter people also love the marking in my fur. I have the coolest coat - I have black fur on my back, but the tips are all white! It definitely makes me stand out from all the other cats! Also, I enjoy playing with my friends - my cage buddies right now are Racer and Razz. The shelter people love how we curl up with eachother when we sleep.

I am still shy, but I am slowly coming around. I am even starting to play a little when I'm in my cage. I do not like to be held yet, but I love to be petted. All I need is a little TLC and I'll come around in no time!
